Recap: Telegram AMA with CEO, Robert

In case you missed out, we had our first Telegram AMA on 29th November in official SERO Telegram chat group. Many members of SERO community took part and here’s recap of all the action that happened.

Q1) How does SERO improves the earlier zk tech (Zero-Knowledge Proof tech)?

Answer : Actually when we investigated the code of the Zcash, we found the programming skill is not so good. So we decided to improve it. Until now, we improved more than ten places in the zero knowledge proof encryption programming. That’s why we achieved more than twenty times faster than the Zcash.

Q2) So SERO is a fork of Ethereum?

Answer : It’s not exactly a fork, because we just use the structure and copied some parts for the issuing procedure. Etherem uses account system, while SERO uses UTXO. In fact, you can think SERO is another Ethereum with private protection functions. So scaling is no any problem for us.

Q3) Does SERO have plans to develop practical applications?

Answer : Of course we are supporting our partners to develop some DApps with privacy protection. Including some online gambling games, Supply chain, bulk goods trading platform and so on.

Q4) Can we mine SERO coins currently?

Answer : Yes you can. You can download our SERO wallet from our GitHub, but you need to apply for the license file.

Q5) How to apply license?

Answer : After you install SERO wallet, you will need to create account there. And you will see the EMAIL address. Then you can send EMAIL to us with your wallet address. We launched our BetaNet-RC version and you can test how to mine the coins. But later as soon as we launch the BetaNet-Release version, then the coins you mine can be linked to the real SERO coins.

Q6) Is SERO on CoinMarketCap?

Answer : Not currently but SERO will be there as soon as we list on exchanges.

Q7) How many nodes does BetaNet have now?

Answer : Currently we are just testing so we just got serval nodes, but when we lauch our BetaNet-release version, at least we will have more than ten nodes.

Q8) How do i get the link to SERO wallet?

Answer : Here’s the link https://github.com/sero-cash/wallet/releases/tag/v0.0.2 We have MAC and Linux version, so if your operating system is the Windows, please wait for more days we will update you ASAP.

Q9) What’s the major announcement?

Answer : Our official announcement is that the launch day for our ICO is December 31th, we will release our official detailed information very soon.
